Habitat
Most Western Fence Lizards live in California, but also in Washington,Oregon, Nevada, southwestern Idaho, western Utah, and northwestern Baja California.

They live in place which include suburbia, grasslands, sagebrush, woodlands, coniferous forest, and even farmland.

They like to avoid places that are to dense and moist or to hot.

The Western Fence Lizard has a protein in its blood, that can kill Lyme disease, which is the most common tick-carried disease in the Northern Hemisphere. When a tick bites them and drinks their blood the bacteria is killed and then the flea will no longer carry it.
